Using Brain Explorer

The Brain Explorer has been developed to provide a guide to psychiatric and neurological disorders for anyone that is interested in these topics.

Links within the main text will open a new window giving you the glossary definition for the highlighted word.

Viewing Images

An eye icon () next to a term means that an illustration is also available for this term. Click on the icon to see the illustration.

We have found that some users have experienced difficulty loading the whole image. If it does not appear at first, then click on the eye icon a second time and it should become visible.

Some images, such as the one of the forebrain , contain additional labels which you will see as you move your mouse over the image.

You are welcome to use re-use any image from Brain Explorer for private purposes, as long as credit is given to Brain Explorer and the web site address, www.brainexplorer.org, can be seen adjacent to the picture.
