ventricles
The cavities within the brain that contain the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). There are four ventricles in the brain, the two largest ventricles occuring beneath the cerebral cortex. In people who have experienced a schizophrenia episode, the ventricles are often found to be larger than normal.
