temporal lobe
A term used to describe a structure or body part related to the temples (the regions on either side of the head adjacent to the eyes). The temporal lobe of the forebrain is situated under the temporal bone of the skull and is concerned with the control of hearing. It also functions to enable us to recognise objects and faces.
