A progressive neurological disorder caused by the death or loss of neurons in the basal nuclei. Symptoms include tremor or trembling hands, arms, legs, jaw and face, rigidity or stiffness of the limbs and trunk, bradykinesia (a slowness and poverty of movement), postural instability and impaired balance. |
